Washington, DC is an incredible place. The Smithsonian Museums are the most visited Museums in the world and there’s nothing more majestic than the breathtaking views of our National Monuments and Federal Buildings flooded in lights or the illuminated dome of the US Capitol Building from the roof of the Kennedy Center at night when they’re all lit up.
We’ll be staying at the full hookup Cherry Hill RV Park in nearby College Park, MD, which is a great campground and the closest to all our activities. You’ll be very pleased with these accommodations. We’ll begin with the Orientation and Welcome Party before progressing to tours of all the highlights that Washington has to offer.
We'll visit all of the places in Washington that you have heard and read about. We visit George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate and Farm.
After an exciting sightseeing tour on day two, we top it off with a fantastic dinner on the waterfreont in Georgetown and a spectacular Washington Night Illumination Tour. Believe me, this is one fantastic evening that you will never forget.
One afternoon we visit the highly acclaimed Newseum, the world's most interactive museum where five centuries of news history meets up with America's main street.
Another highlight of this rally is when we board the Odyssey III for a two hour luncheon and sightseeing cruise. The Odyssey III is Washington DC's most elegant and luxuriuos dining and cruising ship and includes spectacular views of the city's beautiful landscape.
Day seven we enjoy quality time at Arlington National Cemetery and the Smithsonian Museums topping off the day with our traditional Farewell Dinner Party, reminiscing about all of the good times and memories we received on our Washington, DC Cherry Blossom Festival Rally.
