To say that you have been to one of Mexico’s beaches is to say very little because they are more than waves, sand and sun. Each beach has its own personality and offers something different, something all its own.

There are glamorous shops, quaint little cities, modern luxury, old-world charm, fine restaurants serving a wide variety of cuisines and casual open-air palapas with local specialties. The choice is yours. But don’t worry too much because you are going to try them all on your RV caravan to the West Coast of Mexico.

Guaymas
Guaymas is the shrimp capital of Mexico. Here we enjoy the gorgeous ambience, spectacular sunsets and the sparkling Sea of Cortez. Some trips have their welcome to Mexico dinner in the private dining room at the Playa de Cortes Hotel.

San Carlos
San Carlos is a resort community where you can swim, sightsee and relax at a beautiful new RV resort park overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Here we enjoy margaritas, soft drinks, snacks and Mexican mariachi music on a relaxing scenic cruise of the beautiful Sea of Cortez Bay. The final night is our traditional Farewell Dinner Party as we reminisce about the fun and great experiences we all had on our Adventure to the cities, towns and beaches of Western Mexico.

Alamos
Alamos is the former silver mining capital of the world. In a colonial atmosphere we take a guided city walking tour to see restored colonial mansions and other attractions of this small quaint village and surrounding area. Alamos is home of the world famous Mexican Jumping Bean and a church on the arcade plaza dating back to 1786. Here we enjoy an exquisite dinner at “Casa la Aduana” and tour the village of Aduana to visit pottery artisans.

Mazatlan
We cross the Tropic of Cancer on the way to Mazatlan, the Pearl of the Pacific, where we experience almost perfect weather along with fabulous dining, beautiful beaches, great shopping and gala nightlife. Evenings you can enjoy staff hosted margarita parties, social hours and get-togethers under the palapa along with plenty of time to stroll the Gold Zone or visit your favorite place of entertainment.

We enjoy breakfast at the “Riviera” one morning and top off the day as guests at Playa Mazatlan’s World famous authentic “Mexican Fiesta” complete with regional dancers. Exciting entertainment, an open bar and authentic native buffet are all part of this spectacular dinner show and unique Mexican celebration.

Mazatlan is one of the most enchanting cities in the whole country. We go on a guided bus tour to enjoy its beauty. One of our stops is to watch cliff divers diving from rocks along the beach.

If you are a fishing enthusiast, Mazatlan offers the world’s best marlin, sailfish and mahi-mahi fishing. Today Mazatlan is a thriving seaport and the center of one of the largest fishing industries in Mexico. More than 37 million pounds of shrimp are processed yearly.

Copala
No trip to Mazatlan would be complete without a guided country bus tour to Copala. It is an unforgettable and unique tour for those who want to see the wonders of Mexico. We travel by bus to the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountains where we mingle with the natives. We stop along the way to see craftsmen making hand carved furniture, bricks from mud in an open field, pottery, glazed floor tile and many other unique sights common to this area.

Copala is a picturesque colonial village that is the real Mexico. Copala is one of Mexico’s first mining towns with cobblestone streets, smiling faces and memories of the past 400 years. This is an artist and photographer’s dream. Take time to enjoy this storybook village. It is one of the highlights of your trip. Lunch is included at the famous restaurant “Daniels.”

Guasave
Guasave is a prosperous city amid lush farmlands producing bumper crops of tomatoes, bell peppers, squash, eggplant, lettuce and many other greens and fruits.

Our RV park is located next to the Sea of Cortez in Las Glorias with beautiful sunsets and colorful ocean views. This is a great paradise for birdwatchers, shell collectors and fishing enthusiasts. Besides enjoying a great seaside dinner while here, you will love the hospitality of this small resort town.

Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta is a very popular winter resort overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The Hollywood set discovered Puerto Vallarta thanks to Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton who built houses across the street from each other. We see their houses on a deluxe city and tropical bus tour along with many places where movies were filmed including “Night of the Iguana.”

After a scrumptious brunch at the Krystal Hotel, we have an opportunity to use its facilities and enjoy a day of fun and relaxation at their pool and beach.

We have time to walk along the Malecon, explore Old City Center and shop to our hearts content as this city stays open until the wee hours of the night. Our 46-day caravan spends four nights in Puerto Vallarta.

San Blas
Two caravans make a two day stop in San Blas where you have oceanfront campsites, take in the famous Jungle River Cruise and visit an interesting Crocodile farm.
