This tour provides a most memorable and satisfying experience of Mexico. By driving in Mexico with your RV you see more, learn more and enjoy more than those who fly in and out. You get to know the Mexican people and their culture much better, which really makes an RV trip to Mexico special.

We cross the Mexico border at Nogales, Arizona and travel along the Sea of Cortez visiting the cities of Guaymas and Guasave (Las Glorias). You get a taste of Colonial Mexico as we spend three days in the small charming city of Alamos. The highlight of Mexico’s West Coast is the Riviera Resort town of Mazatlan where we enjoy five fabulous days exploring and frolicking in the sun.

Our RVs are secure and looked after by Adventure Caravans’ staff at the full hook-up RV park in Los Mochis as we traverse through the Copper Canyon and on to Batopilas. Dinner is included at the Santa Anita Hotel upon our arrival in Los Mochis. Pet care is available at the RV park while we are in the canyon. The next morning we board a first-class passenger train on the Chihuahua-Pacifico Railroad experiencing absolutely breath taking views of the Copper Canyon. Adventure Caravans gives you an extraordinary adventure in the Copper Canyon, as we are the only company that stays nine days and eight nights experiencing the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” We depart the train in Tarahumara Indian pine tree country and the logging town of Creel, gateway to the famous Copper Canyon. Creel boasts a unique mountain village atmosphere and while there we observe, first hand, the lifestyle of the primitive Tarahumara Indians. From Creel, we travel to the bottom of the canyon.

We enjoy a lovely night in Divisadero at the first-class La Posada Mirador Hotel with awesome views of the Canyon right from your own room. Then we board the train for our bonus trip to Bahuichivo where we enjoy an additional night at the first-class Mision hotel in Cerocahui. From here, we visit the Urique Canyon, which has the most spectacular view of all the canyons. The excitement of these nine days in the Copper Canyon will be the topic of your discussions with friends for years to come.

Crossing the Sea of Cortez on the ferry takes about six hours. We leave Mazatlan and leisurely travel to Topolobampo where we enjoy a tailgate party while waiting to board the ferry. Built in 2001, the “California Star” is the newest, largest and most comfortable vehicle ferry on the Sea of Cortez. After loading our rigs onto the ferry and checking into our private staterooms, we enjoy a light dinner and mosey around the ship before going to our rooms. The ferry leaves Topolobampo at midnight and arrives in La Paz early the next morning.

Welcome to Baja, the longest peninsula in the world! This impressive journey promises to be filled with wonder and excitement as we spend quality time visiting interesting cities along the way. Great beaches and fabulous sunrises and sunsets await us.
