Crossing the Sea of Cortez on the ferry takes about six hours. We leave Mazatlan and leisurely travel to Topolobampo where we enjoy a tailgate party while <2>waiting to board the ferry. Built in 2001, the “California Star” is the newest, largest and most comfortable vehicle ferry on the Sea of Cortez. After loading our rigs onto the ferry and checking into our private staterooms, we enjoy a late dinner and mosey around the ship before going to our rooms.
